What To Expect

Contrary to popular belief, sports massage is not a painful experience, and will not leave you covered in bruises – that is the sign of a bad massage!

On your first treatment, you will be asked to wear loose fitting clothing and shorts. I will conduct a full postural assessment, medical record and discuss any pain or injury you are suffering. You will be covered with towels to keep you warm, ensuring only the area that needs treating to be exposed. I will then treat the problem and surrounding areas of pain/tension, and investigate any underlying issues that could be causing injury. Although sometimes this may feel uncomfortable, I will work with you to ensure that any discomfort felt will be comfortably within your pain range.

At the end of the treatment I may recommend to you to carry out some ‘homework’ in the form of strengthening exercises or stretches and nutritional advice, which will aid and speed up your recovery.

Adele provides pre/post and pitch side support at Littlemore Rugby Club. There are a mix of ages and injuries within the team, and she has been able to help ensure that players fully prepared with stretching and taping beforehand, as well as treating injuries pitchside and post match. She has demonstrated effective therapy in challenging environments, and she is a big asset to the Club.
Darren Massey, Captain (2015-2016) Littlemore RFC

Rowing

Adele has been excellent at treating the Oxford Lightweight Rowing Club throughout the 2014-2015 season, helping with injury prevention through soft tissue therapy. She has a real compassion and empathy with the athletes, has been very generous and flexible with her time and has been an incredible asset to the team.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is a charity very close to my heart and I've been supporting them for many years. I am very proud that I am working alongside this fantastic charity to help improve lives of people living with CF and to ultimately find a cure.
